Friction bolt (Split sets) is roll-formed into a C shape bolt with slot by high tensile steel band, which one end is tapered for easily inserting bolt into drilling-hole. The other end is welded a ring to hold the matching domed bearing plate.
Welds quality is a very critical point for the split set bolt which will affect the performance of the bolt while used in ground support. We have a routine quality mornitoring and warning system to get a consistance and stable perfect welds quality, and a job traveller with pull testing records will go through the whole processes to avoid any accidents in the production.

how it works
Friction bolts are made up of two main parts:
A hollow shaft with a large split down its length. One end is tapered, the other has a welding ring lug to hold the plate in place;
A square plate used to stabilise the shaft and hold it in pace, as well as retaining mesh.
The tapered end allows the tube to be compressed into a smaller hole made into he rock. The tube exerts radial torques which grows stronger as rock displacement occurs, generating an active support resistance.
using method
1. Determine the anchor bolt hole position according to design requirements and use drilling tools to drill holes.
2. Blow out the rock powder inside the hole with compressed air.
3. Install an anchor plate on the rod and use an impact drill to drive the anchor rod into the hole.
