what is a resin anchoring agent?

Resin anchor cartridges consist of two separately packaged components-resin mortar and curing agent-in a coiled configuration. One chamber contains the resin adhesive, while the other holds the catalyst. When mixed, this bonding material securely anchors the rod to the coal-bearing rock mass. Resin anchors offer rapid curing, excellent anchoring performance, high reliability, and ease of use, making them the most widely adopted solution both domestically and internationally.

01

Exceptionally strong anchoring force, high reliability

High Bond Strength: After curing, the resin forms an extremely strong bond with the anchor rod (threaded steel rod body) and the surrounding rock borehole wall, providing anchoring force far exceeding that of cement grout.

Full-Length Anchoring: Through mixing, the resin fills the entire borehole, achieving full-length bonding between the anchor rod and surrounding rock. This ensures stress is uniformly distributed along the entire anchor rod length, eliminating point loads and significantly enhancing the integrity and stability of the support system.

Rapid loading, immediate support

Rapid Curing: Resin anchors come in ultra-fast and fast-curing types, requiring only tens of seconds to a few minutes from mixing to full cure.

"Immediate Support" Capability: This represents one of its most critical advantages. Upon installation, the anchor rod rapidly delivers initial anchorage force, effectively controlling early deformation and loosening of the surrounding rock. This is particularly vital for weak or fractured rock masses, enabling immediate prevention of roof falls and rib failures to ensure construction safety.

 03

Excellent toughness and resistance to dynamic loading

High Impact Resistance: The inherent toughness of resin materials prevents brittle failure in anchor support systems when subjected to dynamic and impact loads caused by variations in surrounding rock pressure, blasting vibrations, or rock creep.

Adaptability to Rock Mass Deformation: Unlike brittle cement grouts, resin anchors tolerate moderate deformation of the surrounding rock without failure, ensuring longer support service life.

04

Density and corrosion resistance

Watertight: The cured resin effectively seals boreholes, preventing groundwater and harmful gases from infiltrating. This protects the anchor rod from corrosion and prevents erosion of the surrounding rock, significantly extending the service life of the support system.

Corrosion-Resistant: The resin material itself resists acid and alkali corrosion, maintaining stable performance in complex groundwater environments.

05

Simple construction process, low overall cost

Low overall cost: Although the cost per resin cartridge may be higher than that of cement cartridges, its superior support performance, rapid construction speed, low safety risks, and extended service life yield significant benefits in terms of overall project cost and safety.
