The diameter of pipe slit anchor is 30~45 mm, the wall thickness is 2~3 mm, the width of slit is 10~15 mm, according to the needs of processing, generally 1.6~2.0 m. The diameter of pipe slit anchor is 1~3 mm larger than the diameter of drilling hole. when the rod is pressed into the drilling hole, the slit steel pipe is compressed, the outer wall of the steel pipe and the wall of the drilling hole are tightly squeezed, which generates radial compressive stress and axial friction along the whole length of the steel pipe.
This produces radial compressive stress and axial friction along the entire length of the pipe, generating a compressive stress field in the surrounding rock and preventing deformation of the surrounding rock.
Disadvantages of Friction Bolt
The anchoring force of pipe seam anchors is sensitive to variations in the hole diameter difference. If the difference in hole diameter is too large, the anchor can not be installed in the drill hole; if the difference in hole diameter is too small, sufficient anchoring force can not be ensured. The diameter of the downhole drill hole is related to the nature of the surrounding rock, the wear degree of the drill bit specification and size drill bit, the drilling speed and many other factors, and all of these influences may cause changes in the anchor force of the anchor rods, resulting in unstable anchoring performance.
Pipe seam anchors are installed manually or mechanically driven, so the anchors cannot be too long or they cannot be installed, especially in conditions where the roadway space is narrow. In addition, during installation, if the rod is thin or the axis of the rod does not coincide with the axis of the drilled hole, it is possible to cause the rod to bend and be scrapped.
When the roadway is in service for a long period of time and there is drenching, the pipe slit anchors will be corroded and the anchoring force will be greatly affected, or even cause the anchors to fail.
