Fiberglass anchor is a kind of anchor rod composed of glass fiber as reinforcing material and polyester resin as base material, which is pulled by special pultruder and cured under high temperature and high pressure through preform mold to become a full-threaded fiberglass-reinforced plastic rod, together with resin anchors, trays and nuts, and it is a new kind of composite material replacing the metal anchors, and it is also known as fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) anchor rod.
Fiberglass anchors have strong tensile, shear and torsion strength, low production cost, good supporting effect, and can be applied to all flammable and explosive special environments. Because of its many performance advantages, it can be used in many fields, such as mine shafts and alleys, highways, railroad tunnels and slope support.
