PC strand Process:
The manufacturing process is divided into single wire manufacturing and stranded wire manufacturing. When producing single wires, (cold) drawing technology is used. Depending on the different materials of the product, it can be high carbon steel wire rods, stainless steel wire rods, or medium and low carbon steel wire rods. If galvanizing is required, electroplating or hot plating treatment should be carried out on the single wire. During the manufacturing process of stranded wire, a stranded wire machine is used to twist multiple steel wires into a product. The prestressed steel stranded wire also needs to undergo continuous stabilization treatment after forming, and the final product is generally collected on a reel or completed in a reel less manner.
Applications:
Galvanized steel stranded wire is commonly used for messenger wire, guy wire, core wire or strength member, and can also be used as ground wire/ground wire for overhead power transmission, barrier cable on both sides of highways, or structural cable in building structures.
The commonly used prestressed steel strands in prestressed steel strands are uncoated steel strands for prestressed concrete, as well as galvanized strands, commonly used in bridges, buildings, water conservancy, energy, and geotechnical engineering.
Unbonded steel strands or monostrand strands are commonly used in floor and foundation engineering.
